Apple officially announced the death of the 3.5 mm headphone jack at today's iPhone 7 event, and with it, came the introduction of brand new wireless AirPods and three new Beats headphone options.

Apple bought Beats back in 2014for $3 billion, and today unveiled three new headphone options to complement the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: Beats Solo 3 Wireless (which will last for 40 hours), PowerBeats3 Wireless, and BeatsX headphones, which will utilize the Apple W1 chip.

In addition, Apple plans to include a 3.5mm headphone jack dongle with every iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. That will allow people to attach their EarPods to phones via Lightening ports.
