Everyone wants a strong costume game for Halloween. While there are sure to be infinite stellar outfits this year, there will also be plenty at the other end of the spectrum — the kind that scare you for all the wrong reasons. The kind that will have hoards of crying children fleeing porches without a single Tootsie Roll at the sight of them. The kind that shouldbe the result of one too many Hallows' Eve tequila shots but could actually be embarrassingly earnest cases of trial and error.

You may not live down crafting a wretchedly ghoulish costume, but it's a Halloween experience as traditional as trick-or-treating or horror movie marathons.
